Class Details Business Law for the Trade Creditor 06/23/2020 3:00 PM PT - 6:00:00 PM PT With the legal environment of business constantly changing, individuals working in credit and accounts receivable must have a solid understanding of the laws that affect business and credit and periodically update their knowledge. This course is designed to introduce students to the basics of law, the legalities of contracts and the emerging importance placed upon laws affecting cybercrimes.The Business Law class focuses on sources of law, the legal environment of business, and contracts, and provides a solid grounding for the Credit Law class. The Credit Law class focuses on legal forms of business organization, commercial transactions, including the credit application/agreement, and government regulation and compliance as trade creditors are impacted. The two classes provide a foundation for understanding the legal environment of business and for protecting the rights of the creditor in the process of selling goods and services and getting paid for them. A 10-week course needed for obtaining your Credit Business Fellow (CBF). Meets weekly on Thursday's from 3:00pm - 6:00pm starting June 23 – August 25, 2020 ** Additional charge of $302.00 for textbook + shipping. He is past chairman of the National Presidents Credit Council (Riemer), an association of present and past presidents of national industry credit groups, and past chairman of the NACM Affiliate Secretarial Council, which represents NACM Affiliates on the NACM National Board of Directors. Rod has a master’s degree from York University in Toronto, achieved the CCE certification in 1991,and the CAE in 2007.
