Instructors Christopher Celentino & Mikel R. Bistrow
Christopher Celentino is a partner with Dinsmore & Shohl LLP and based in its San Diego Office. He focuses his practice in the areas of creditor's rights, fiduciary services litigation, business reorganization and workouts, and insolvency and bankruptcy law. Mr. Celentino's bankruptcy practice emphasizes representation of creditors in chapter 7, 11 and 13 cases, as well as representation of court-appointed trustees in chapter 7 and chapter 11 cases. Mr. Celentino also represents Receivers and other court-appointed fiduciaries in fraud-related and insolvency-related litigation matters, including but not limited to those involving various state and federal agencies, such as the State of California, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the US Federal Trade Commission. Mr. Celentino has a significant knowledge in mechanic's lien law and construction litigation matters, family law and related dissolution matters, and Charter School and related formation, regulatory and dissolution matters. His creditor's right practice emphasizes representing lenders and borrowers in workout and restructuring of commercial loans, secured transactions, and lease transactions, and pursuit of creditor's remedies in commercial litigation matters. Mr. Celentino is also a member of the firm's Craft Beer, Wine and Distilled Spirits Practice Group, and advises clients in the areas of finance and import regulations. Mr. Celentino and his wife own a craft wine international import business.

Mikel R. Bistrow is a partner in the national law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, and is based in its San Diego office. Ms. Bistrow practices in the areas of commercial finance and lending, real and personal property secured transactions, Uniform Commercial Code, creditor's collection and related remedies, bankruptcy, insolvency and work-outs. Ms. Bistrow's finance practice emphasizes representing lenders and borrowers in documenting, negotiating and enforcing real and personal property loans and secured transactions, including revolving lines of credit, asset based and real property secured loans, securitized credits and construction financing. Ms. Bistrow is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification and also is a member of the Board of Directors of that organization.
