Mission Statement
The NACM Commercial Services Foundation promotes and advances the professionalism of individuals in credit management and provides career development opportunities.
Phylliss Clark Memorial Fund
The Phylliss Clark Memorial Fund was established in honor of the well-known and respected manager of the NACM Oregon education/communications department, who died in an auto accident Memorial Day weekend in 1993. Because of Phylliss’ strong commitment to education and her dedicated service to NACM and CFDD, the Foundation established an endowment worthy of her memory.
Each year, earnings from the endowment are distributed as scholarships to qualified members of the two Oregon-area Credit & Financial Development Division (CFDD) chapters to offset registration and attendance costs to regional conferences. In selecting these yearly scholarship recipients, special recognition is given to first-time attendees.
Jane Newton Memorial Scholarship Fund
Jane Newton worked at our local NACM office for 47 years serving and supporting countless members. Many of those years Jane spent furthering her own education, and actually completed her Bachelor’s degree just three years before she retired. Jane was a mentor and strong supporter of any member who had the desire to strengthen their knowledge in the credit industry. She believed that credit people were professionals and worthy of higher education, status in management, and merit.
NACM has established the Jane Newton Memorial Scholarship Fund to help further the education of our members. We want to thank you for helping us keep Jane’s memory, work ethic and love of education alive.
