As a Regional Credit Manager, you will supervise Credit Manager and lead them in implementing the credit and collection policies and activities within the assigned territory. You will also be customer facing as needed in a sales obsessed organization.
In this role you will:
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, and report on Company-established credit and collection policies
- Perform monthly reviews with Credit Managers including but not limited to: customer aging and, credit extension and exposure, job account management, year-old items, and additional reports as necessary
- Implement, track and follow up on regular customer visits conducted by the Credit Managers
- Train and mentor Credit Managers and Management Trainees
- Interact with key customers, as indicated either through actual or potential sales activity, or as directed by Director Finance or District Vice President
- Provide backup to Director of Finance (during absences or as workload dictates)
- Support district initiatives through personal interaction with customers, suppliers, employees, and district and branch management.
- Be customer obsessed and drive a customer first mindset and behavior in the entire credit organization.
- Develop and mentor management trainees and junior credit managers
What you bring to the table:
- 10+ years Credit Manager or related experience required
- 4 year degree in Business, Management, or related field of study required; Masters of Business Administration from an accredited institution preferred
- Supervisory experience with progressive responsibility in a credit management role
- Knowledge of financial statement analysis techniques and accounting principles are required.
- Knowledge of construction law
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to represent Graybar with customers.
- Mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively interact with others
- Ability to relocate
- Frequent travel required
Compensation Details:
- As a guideline, the expected rate of pay for this position is starting at $105,000-$115,000 annually depending on experience
- This position is also bonus eligible – based on specific and relevant business metrics.
